Feature Focus #4: Rain and Bugs

Rain and bugs can make camping miserable without a space to escape from them. For many small camping trailers this means being holed up in a small claustrophobic space.

The Lemur Camper’s big living room has large windows that bring views of nature into the camper, and a 7-8′ high ceiling, making it light and airy.

It also has plenty of space for a camping table and four chairs to seat a family for board games or meals. Each window is equipped with canvas, No-See-Um screen, and vinyl windows that can be zipped closed or stowed rolled up depending on temperature, rain or desire for privacy. All layers zip from both inside and outside the tent.

Large awnings keep rain off the tops of the windows so that they can be opened for air even when it’s wet outside. On hot days the large windows on all sides allow for cooling cross breezes. The split walk-through screen in the door keeps bugs out while allowing for easy traffic in and out of the tent, avoiding annoying zipping and unzipping of the door when around camp.
